About This Project

What does a designer do after work? Blue Linen Creative partnered with two others to create “The Ocean Stirs the Heart”, a dress entered in the 2016 Denver Paper Fashion Show. The dress is inspired by Marine Life Artist, Wyland and his quote, “The ocean stirs the heart, inspires the imagination and brings eternal joy to the soul.” We were inspired by the endless discoveries that can be made in the ocean. Under every wave are new creatures to see; with every current, we can imagine what else is hidden in the depths of the sea. Thousands of coral, shells and sea anemone decorate the large wave and remind us of the awe-inspiring power of water. This dress is fun to wear and an eternal joy to explore.
