About This Project

Participating for the fourth year, Blue Linen Creative with Jennifer Garber and Christopher Geissinger, designed and created “Flower of Life”.

Sometimes, life goes so fast you feel like you are flying. Sometimes, life stands so still that you can see a flower bloom. We are inspired by the flight we take through life and this dress is inspired by the flower of life, a symbol of sacred geometry, containing ancient, religious value depicting the fundamental forms of space and time. It is a visual expression of the connections life weaves through all beings, representing beauty, balance, confidence, and grace. We wanted to make a bold dress that would make the wearer of this dress radiate these qualities and be comfortable to wear. In this dress, form follows function. Made of over 2,300 pieces and assembled using only thread, the geometry of each piece helps define the overall design of the dress and cape giving it flexibility and strength. “Flower of Life” also has a reversible cape that can be worn showing either Neenah’s So Silk Papers in Beauty Pink or Glamour Green.

“Flower of Life” was awarded 2nd Place in the 2019 Denver Paper Fashion Show.
